At a time when Yemen is witnessing a fierce war, suffering from an alarming water crisis that threatens the population with thirst and puts the threat of water security in addition to other major risks that threaten the country mired in conflicts and crises. Before the war, Yemen was classified as one of the countries facing the most water crisis, and experts where They warn of the depletion of groundwater in Yemen by 2017, but the war has greatly exacerbated the problem. In light of the turmoil, the absence of the government and the spread of armed conflicts, the excessive depletion of groundwater has increased, and government water institutions have collapsed.
The YKF remained like a cloud that quenches the thirst of water seekers. It has worked on digging and operating wells, providing them with pumping equipment, distribution networks, supplying and installing electrical transformers, constructing water barriers, water tanks, and providing potable water.
Here emerges the Greater Aden Water Project, which is one of the most important projects implemented in this sector, which is funded and supervised by the Kuwait Relief Society. The project will contribute to the self-sufficiency of beneficiaries in the Abyan governorate (Zinjibar and Jaar) and also contribute to raising water
