The people in the village of Al-Qafr and its neighboring areas in Ibb governorate suffer from a water project halt in the area, as the people rely on fetching water from private springs, some of which dry up in winter, while others come from ponds harvesting rainwater.
To reduce this suffering, the Springs of Good Charitable Foundation, funded by the Kuwaiti Society for Relief, intervened in the Al-Sanaa Water Project - Ibb. The solar system for the main pump, and the work of supplying and installing a water network and an electric submersible pumping unit for the well in addition to a phased electric submersible pumping unit. The implementation of the project is accompanied by a number of activities such as training and qualification of the project management and the formation of a project management in cooperation with the competent authorities, as well as a community incentive program with awareness for the beneficiaries.
The project aims to deliver clean water to approximately 28 villages and alleviate the suffering of the people in fetching water from distant places, in addition to providing safe water for the population and giving children the opportunity to enroll in education.
